Pokerstars full steam ahead in India expansion

Pokerstars IndiaPokerstars has officially announced its new Indian-facing domain as it chases a slice of the lucrative gambling market.

The giant poker company launched the Pokerstars.in domain on April 2017, with it also beginning to accept real money bets around the same time. However earlier this week Pokerstars announced it would be ramping up its advertising in the region in a letter to affiliates.

Previously Indian players had played on Pokerstars.com domain, with the decision to redirect this traffic to its own domain a clear sign the company is committed to the youthful market.

Pokerstars is already showing signs of growth since the soft launch, with players enjoying a great selection of games and table limits, including a Rs. 2500 Nightly Stars tournament at 7 pm daily, Rs. 5K Sunday Special.

Multi-table tournament buy-ins range from Rs. 20 to Rs. 15,000 on Pokerstrs India.

As one of the biggest poker brands int he world, Pokerstars.in, has vowed to maintain its high level of protection and fraud detection mechanisms to “help ensure the integrity of games and the safety of players.

There are still several states in India which don’t allow real money skill games which include Odisha and Assam. Pokerstars does not accept players from these two states on its .in domain.

The company has also announced that the affiliate program for the new venture would launch on July 1.
