Meadows Casino in Pennsylvania rebrands as Hollywood Casino
Penn National Gaming is rebranding Meadows Casino in Pennsylvania.
The operator has announced that the gaming facility at Meadows Racetrack in Washington County will be known as Hollywood Casino at the Meadows starting Friday, October 15. The purpose of the name change is to align the casino with other properties owned by Penn National across the state.
The reputable Hollywood Casino brand is a trademark of Penn National Gaming, and the re-brand has been in the works since the company acquired the establishment from its rival Pinnacle Entertainment in 2018. Over the last three years, the company has carried out a series of renovations on the establishment, including the addition of a new lounge, restaurants, a sportsbook, and upgrades to the casino floor.
With the change of name, the facility will become the third Hollywood-branded venue in the state after Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course and the new 80,000-square-foot Hollywood Casino York, which is located at the York Galleria Mall in Springettsbury Township.
Penn National is also putting up another Hollywood Casino in Morgantown, and the facility is on schedule to open before the end of the year.
Meadows announces celebrations to mark transition
Announcing the re-brand, the Vice President of Marketing at Meadows Casino, Rahul Kaushik, said: “This is more than a name change. It has been a journey since 2019. This is a key milestone in the transition to our rebranding. Hollywood Casino is the flagship brand of Penn National.”
The casino will welcome the name change with a series of celebrations that will run from 9am on Friday to 7pm on Saturday.
The Friday events will start with the official unveiling of the rebranded Hollywood Casino at Meadows at, which will take place at the entrance of the casino.

Later in the day, the facility will hold its annual Pink Out event in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and those who attend will enjoy a variety of activities like dog races featuring purebred corgis and bulldogs, Chinese auction, and a pet costume contest. The Friday festivities will culminate on the casino floor, where guests will be treated to giveaways worth over $100,000.
On Saturday, the casino will hold an outdoor concert featuring live local entertainment, food trucks, and prize draws from 2pm to 7pm, and there will be fireworks to crown the event after sunset.
Commenting on the festivities, Kaushik said, “We want to celebrate with people. We want to recognize people that got us to this place.”
The casino also revealed that the promotions and giveaways will run throughout the month.
Meadows Racetrack sportsbook also set to rebrand
The retail sportsbook at the Meadows Racetrack is scheduled to get a new name sometime next year.
The book, which is powered by Kambi, will be known as Barstool Sportsbook after the rebrand. Barstool is the sports betting brand owned by Penn National Gaming, and it is present in several other states including NJ, IN, AZ, MI, and CO.
The sportsbook launched in the PA online market in September last year through a partnership with Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course. The brand also has a retail presence in the state following the opening of the Barstool Sportsbook at Hollywood Casino York in August this year. The rebrand, however, will not affect Meadows Casino’s online partnership with DraftKings.
Penn National has also revealed that the Meadows Racetrack will retain its name, which it has held since it was established in 1963.
“The history and tradition of this being the Meadows will continue on. It’s part of our DNA. It’s part of our core,” emphasized Kaushik.
